I chose to submit places I feel closest to as my choice for ‘community’ because my community has always been where I call home. London is where I lived until I was 7, so that holds a very close place in my heart, even when I go back as a ‘tourist’ I still consider it my home. Hereford is where I have lived since then, and all of my friends and experiences really make it home to me. Presteigne, although I have never ‘lived’ full time there is the true constant in my life- through both London and hereford I have spent so much time there, stayed with family and know it like the back of my hand. If that doesn’t make it ‘home’ I don’t know what does. Community to me means a connection to the people and place around you, a true understanding and love of your environment. What place you can love more than your home I don’t know, so that’s why I have submitted these places as my contribution to the theme.
