“The bad thing would be transport to places further out of Hereford. For example, getting to college I have to take my moped on roads that aren’t the best due to the fact there is only one bus that goes there from town. It’s always packed, and I get very bad anxiety on buses. Also the lack of support for young people. I see a lot of substance abuse in the youth community due to a lack of accessible activity for young people.”
Charlie is a student currently studying level 2 animal care at Holme Lacy College. Alongside this, she is an epic at Close House which involves giving back to the community by volunteering with them, learning good skills and gaining confidence. She finds the good things with living in Hereford to be less crime than other places in the UK and that because it’s small everything is fairly close together.
