Katie

“Everybody knows everybody which is nice to have that community feel.”

Katie is a third-year student at Sheffield University studying German and linguistics. She’s currently on her year abroad in Stuttgart and Hamburg. It has been challenging due to the pandemic being in a different country but has also made her more resilient. She’s not quite sure what she wants to do after her degree but she might do a masters or do some travelling; she likes the idea of working in Germany. She said that learning to drive made a massive change to her, increasing her social life and giving her more independence. She thinks Hereford is a friendly city and it’s nice coming back after being away.
