Ross on Wye Youth Voices

P.O.V. has been creatively consulting and making content with young people in Ross-on-Wye throughout 2026. Using anonymous online surveys, street photography, interviews, creative workshops and co-production with young people aged 11-18, young people have been speaking to each other about what it’s like to grow up in and around the Herefordshire market town.

There have been honest conversations about community events and existing provision, Ross Carnival, development of the Enterprise Park, employment and aspirations, public spaces and local parks, as well as anti-social behaviour, safety, belonging and what helps them feel proud.

All this activity, delivered over several months and in collaboration with Ross organisations, will culminate with a one-off sharing event on October 15th 2026. Young people, who’ve been involved in co-production and creative sessions, will present the results of the creative consultation - and we’re inviting local decision-makers and the wider community to come along to hear the varied views and voices of Ross-on-Wye’s young people.

Our hope is that young people will feel better connected to the town, impacting their ambition, confidence, behaviour and more. For the town and wider county, there’ll be rich, evidence-based insight into what young people value, what worries them and what would make the biggest differences to them today.
